Overcoming Anxiety

You love to take care of your family or excel at work.

Yet, these days, it leaves you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. You worry all the time that it’s not enough, or you’re not enough. Nothing seems to make you feel ok.

All you do is worry, feel unfulfilled, and stressed. Your body is full of tension, fear, and panic. It isn’t easy to concentrate, focus, or feel like anything matters.

It has come to a point where it’s difficult to function. You know this can’t continue. Every day feels like something just to get through.

You know there is more to life than checking off endless tasks on your to-do list.

When they can no longer put it off, people come to me – they have lost their zest for life. Often, it’s at the urging of their loved ones, who can see the pain of struggling every day.

You don’t have to struggle. I love helping people resolve anxiety and step into calmer waters. Life will always be stressful, but I can help you meet challenges and stress easily and confidently. You have the power to change your life.

Therapy can help change your life. The time is now to invest in yourself. I want to help you build the life you dream.

I love to help constant overachievers focus on themselves and gain the skills to continue to be badasses in the world.

The intelligence of anxiety…

Anxiety is a sign of intelligence. Historically speaking, the voice of anxiety has helped us survive by making us cautious, saying things like, “Let’s not eat that plant,” or “Let’s be careful.” Like anything, too much of a good thing is, well, a bad thing.

Stress or anxiety operates in our bodies much like trauma does, as both are stress responses. Our bodies are designed to deal with short-term stress, such as a workout or escaping an animal.

If stress becomes constant, it leads to burnout, adrenal fatigue, and hormone issues. Burnout is difficulty concentrating, always being tired, and feeling unmotivated. In burnout, it is difficult to focus on work long enough to be productive, making us feel worse. It changes how we view ourselves and our loved ones. It can become difficult to enjoy quality time with our family without feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Don’t let burnout or stress take over your life.

Make anxiety work for you.

I utilize many evidence-based techniques to help resolve anxiety, such as EMDR, Solution-Focused techniques, and some CBT. I also use a mind/body/soul approach. Often, anxiety disrupts our brain and alarm system in our body or our parasympathetic nervous system. Initially, I help you balance your nervous system to access your wisdom and higher thought patterns. I will give you tools to use between sessions to work on this on your own. We will rely heavily on your instincts, intuition, and wisdom about where to go, so we spend time developing your relationship to this wisdom, the power of your body, and your view of the future.

Once we have regulated your nervous system and helped you access confidence and direction, then begins the fun stuff. We can narrow our focus to your goals. Let’s face it – there’s a lot of energy to anxiety. Let’s get to the root of your anxiety.

In therapy, we break down the limiting beliefs that keep you stuck in a cycle of worry and stress. We explore how you got caught in this cycle.

Knowledge is power.

I will guide you into identifying patterns and helping you learn and integrate new techniques and tools to decrease anxiety. Doing so allows you to feel confident again to change your behavior and, therefore, your life into something more in line with what you want.

Whatever makes you anxious is usually a sign of something in your life that needs to shift. So, start dreaming today about what your life could look like without anxiety.

This often includes exploring your relationships and attachment style. Our attachment style often shows up in our job, our relationships to others, even ourselves and our body, and how we perceive the world.

People with anxiety often have an anxious attachment, and this can show up in codependence. You will learn about your attachment style, understand your patterns, and how to shift them as needed. This can include setting clear boundaries, knowing how to ask for what you need in relationships, and practicing self-care.

Change direction. Stop feeling exhausted by overthinking and worrying.

Learn how to make your anxiety work for you.

There will never be enough time or the right time to take the next steps to invest in yourself. Things can change today.
